On 26th August 2022 23 new part-time education students received a jungle welcome to OSZ TF in
Luckenwalde. The new class FETZ22 were welcomed by the second-year students from
FETZ21 and gave them a jungle day filled with information about the content of their course which
they had completely planned themselves. In the long run their course will enable them to
work with children and young people aged up to 27 years of age. Their induction day took place in the sports hall which was decorated like a jungle as it had never been seen before. The new students had the chance to meet experienced students and ask questions as well as to
get to know each other.
The day began with a film
about life at OSZ in Luckenwalde
which was filmed
by the second-year students and showed
the most
important parts of the college.
The new group played lots of games inspired by
the course
and their future job and they visited
stations to learn more
about their new subjects in
smaller groups.
Each station had prepared games
and activities to show
the new students what to expect from their first year based
on their new school subjects.
There was a bobby car race, riddles and role plays and
much more. They designed a tree of diversity on a canvas
with handprints which they are going to hang in their new
classroom as a souvenir and had jungle-inspired snacks.

Everyone was invited to a tasty vegetarian lunch with
homemade falafels, pizza swirls, dips and much more.
The meal began with a jungle inspired table rhyme
reminiscent of their future field of work.
The feedback received to all aspects of the day was
very positive. Everyone involved had a fantastic day
and the new students are looking forward to getting down to work on their new course as well as planning their own induction day which they hope will be as great as that of the FETZ21.
